This is my first attempt at a self portrait. This photo was taken back in August. I posted it on my Flickr in color but was looking through them last night and realized it looked better as B&W. Being my first try the focus was a tiny bit off although it was set at f/4. Should have went f/8!
For those wondering how I got this picture. This is my room at my mom’s house. I had my camera setup on a tripod with a yongnuo RF-603C Transceiver on it. One of my Yongnuo YN 560 speedlites setup on a lightstand camera left with another transceiver attached to it. I had the sync cord from the transceiver on top of my camera into the camera. I used a third transceiver as a trigger. Notice how you do not see my other hand. I was most definitely holding the trigger, pressing the button with that hand.
Looking back I should have setup my second YN560 speedlite on the ground behind me shooting up to soften the shadows caused by the first flash. But still happy with how this came out for a first try!
I am going to try some more self portraits within the coming days.
